good sharp shot but backgorund could be less distracting by blurring it more with a bigger f-stop (e.g., f2.8) with a longer telephoto lens (e.g., 200mm) and cropping in more :)

just a thought - nah... i doubt the mother would see her son as " excess baggage" if she did he wouldn't be on her shoulders in the first place :)
