Dear Louis,

"Ask the brick what the brick wants to be.... And the brick said I want to be an arch."
Thank you so much for saying this. I am now trying to strike a conversation with a block of wood. It's not that bad, you know. The wood is pure. It hides no agenda, and it guides me to its body. I am inspired.

But first, I need to convince the rest. Ask the wood what it wants to be. This is the difficult part for their ears have been blocked by the noise of modernity. The chase for iconic architecture neglects the integrity of the materiality. I must strive to preserve its essence.

The wood cannot die in our hands!!
