The WallPosted by Yanle (Singapore, Singapore) on 26 October 2008 in People & Portrait. It is like the historical summary of San Francisco. Dating back from the Gold Rush, to Industrialisation, to Independence... to present day San Francisco. The sections of different time periods join together to give a panoramic view of San Francisco. In an one-point, fisheye perspective no less. It, somehow, reminds me of Dvorak's New World Symphony... Or probably it's the other way. After hearing Symphony No. 9 and reading about the New York Philharmonic performing this piece in PyongYang, it reminded me of how symbolic this piece was to harmonise melodiously the "American Dream". Then I remembered taking this photo of a man listening to his mp3, while walking past the murals. Clearly, our young man here does not give a damn about it anymore.
